Relight Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes what information the Android app "Relight" (package name: com.relight.app, the "App") handles and how it is used.

1. Photos and videos are processed on your device only

Relight applies AI-based virtual lighting to photos and live camera frames. All image processing — including AI depth estimation — runs entirely on your device.

• Photos you pick, camera frames, and captured photos/videos are never uploaded to any server.
• Results are saved only to your device's gallery when you choose to save them.
• The App does not require an account and does not collect your name, email address, or contacts.

2. Information related to advertising

The App shows ads via Google AdMob. In the course of serving ads, the advertising provider may automatically collect:

• Advertising identifier (Advertising ID)
• Device information (model, OS version, screen size, etc.)
• Approximate location inferred from IP address
• Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)

See Google's advertising policies for details. Where required by law (e.g. EEA/UK), a consent prompt is shown before personalized ads are served.

3. Network usage

The App downloads its AI depth model file (about 14 MB) from our content delivery server on first launch. This download does not include any personal information, and the model is cached on your device afterwards.

4. Notifications

With your permission, the App schedules local reminder notifications on your device. These are generated locally; no push tokens or personal data are sent to a server.

5. Permissions

• Camera — for live virtual-lighting preview, photo capture, and video recording.
• Photos/Media — to pick photos and save results to your gallery.
• Notifications — for optional local reminders.

All permissions are optional; the related feature simply stays unavailable if denied.

6. Children's privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes are announced by updating this page.
